## What is SafetyScout?

SafetyScout is a construction safety workflow that CoWorQ built to review site photos for hazards. Crews send images through the channels they already use. An agent step checks each photo against configurable hazard categories, including fall protection, PPE, electrical, scaffolding, excavation and housekeeping. Clean images are archived, routine findings go to the site supervisor, and critical findings go to a human safety reviewer before anyone escalates. Reports include annotated images, severity and the related OSHA references.

If you're a construction site manager, you know the feeling. You're absolutely drowning in a sea of visual data. I mean, every single day, photos are just pouring in from all your projects. And you know, you just know that buried in there are risks you simply cannot afford to miss.

So the real question is how do you find that needle in the haystack before it becomes a massive problem? So let's just ask it plainly. How many safety risks did you miss today? Seriously, think about it for a second.

With everything you're juggling, schedules, materials, people, it's the kind of question that can really keep you up at night and the reality of the situation, well it's pretty staggering. An average construction company you guys can easily generate over 200 photos a day and that's across multiple active sites. That is a constant nonstop stream of information that somebody somewhere is supposed to be looking at for safety compliance. But let's just be real here.

It's not just difficult. It's it's fundamentally impossible for any team to manually review that much imagery in real time. It just can't be done. And what's the result?

Well, critical safety violations can sit there for hours or even worse for days hiding in plain sight before they get caught. And by then, it could be way too late. Okay. So let's really dive into what that delay means because we're not just talking about a number on a spreadsheet.

This bottleneck in your safety workflow, it has tangible and honestly pretty serious consequences for your entire business.

You know, every single violation you miss is basically a potential OSHA fine just waiting to happen. It's a risk that can stop progress dead in its tracks causing critical project delays that completely blow up your budget. And of course, it dramatically increases your legal liability. But you know most importantly it puts your workers at an absolutely unacceptable level of risk.

The cost of just being reactive is simply too high. This is where we completely change the game. It's time to shift away from that reactive after the fact safety culture to one that's truly proactive and preventative. So meet SafetyScout.

Think of it as your always on AI safety guardian. And this just lays it all out, doesn't it? The old way, manual review means detection takes days. Your teams are completely overwhelmed, and your risk exposure is through the roof.

The SafetyScout way, we're talking detection in minutes. It transforms that flood of photos into truly actionable insights, which lets you do real time prevention and demonstrably reduces your liability. It's a night and day difference. So how does it actually work?

I mean, how do we take a simple photo from the field and turn it into a resolved safety issue on-site? Well, the whole process is designed to be incredibly simple, incredibly fast, and totally automated. It's really just a seamless four step workflow. First, the system ingests images from wherever your team is already sending them.

Second, our AI gets to work analyzing every single pixel for potential OSHA violations. Third, it triages the issue and fires off an immediate alert to the right person. And finally, it generates professional audit ready reports. Simple as that.

Now this, this is one of the best parts. We are totally committed to zero implementation friction. We meet your teams exactly where they already are. There are no new apps to download, no complicated training sessions.

Seriously, if your team can send a photo through WhatsApp, Teams, email, or just drop it in a cloud folder, they can use SafetyScout. It is that simple. So you're probably wondering, how does it manage to be so fast and so accurate? Well, it's all thanks to a really clever principle we call speed first triage.

The AI instantly filters out the 90% of images that are perfectly safe, which let's face it is most of them. And what that does is it frees up your human experts to focus their valuable attention only on the most critical high stakes decisions. Nothing important gets lost in the noise. Alright.

Talk is one thing, but let's actually look at the output. This is what your site supervisors can see just minutes after a photo is taken. You're building a clear real time picture of exactly what's happening out there.

Okay. Check this out. In this single image, the AI has already identified two separate issues. You can see it flags the missing PPE, gloves in this case, and it even cites the exact OSHA standard.

At the same time it identifies poor housekeeping as a trip hazard. The annotations are so precise there's just no room for confusion. And here's another one. This one pinpoints a much more severe risk, that uncovered opening in the ceiling.

This gets flagged as a critical violation and again you see the specific OSHA standard nineteen twenty six five zero two right there in the alert. Now this is the kind of high stakes hazard that gets routed for human verification making sure your most critical risks are addressed immediately.

Okay. Let's talk about the numbers that really matter. For low severity issues, your supervisors get an alert in under five minutes. For those critical risks, it's under an hour and that includes human verification.

And with a false positive rate below 15%, your team learns to trust the system. They know that when an alert comes through, it's real and it needs action. That trust is absolutely Look. This isn't just another tool or another piece of software.

This is a fundamental shift in how construction site safety and compliance are managed. It really represents the new standard of care, moving safety away from a simple checklist and into a continuous, data driven process.

And this quote, this just sums up the unique intelligence of the whole system perfectly. It's not about replacing people, it's about augmenting them. It uses the incredible power of AI speed to sharpen the focus of human expertise right where you need it most.

So we'll end right where we began with one simple question for you. After seeing what's possible, is your current safety process truly proactive Or is it still just reacting to problems after they've already happened? With SafetyScout, you can finally get ahead of the risk.

The problem

## Where construction safety work gets stuck

- ### Photos nobody has time to review

Crews already take site photos and share them in chat, email and text. Few of those images get a careful look for hazards.

- ### Everything or nothing escalates

Without triage, a missing glove and a missing guardrail get the same treatment, so supervisors either drown in alerts or miss the serious ones.

- ### Thin documentation

Safety findings often live in short text logs with no image, location or severity, which makes follow-up and audits harder.

The workflow

## Agent steps inside a governed process

Agents prepare the work. People decide where judgment matters. Every step is recorded.

1. 1

    System step

    ### Photo received

Images arrive from WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, email, SMS or cloud storage, with no new app for crews.

2. 2

    Agent step

    ### Screen for hazards

An agent step checks the image against the configured hazard categories and archives clean images.

    Role

    Vision agent step

3. 3

    Agent step

    ### Rate severity and route

Findings are scored for severity, weighing speed against the cost of a false alarm, and routed accordingly.

    Role

    Triage agent step

4. Approval gate

    ### Critical findings verified

A safety reviewer confirms or dismisses each critical finding before it is escalated.

    Safety reviewer

5. 5

    Human step

    ### Supervisor acts

The site supervisor receives routine and verified findings and corrects the hazard on site.

Capabilities

## What SafetyScout does

- ### Existing channels

Accepts photos from WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, email, SMS and cloud storage.

- ### Configurable hazard categories

Fall protection, PPE, electrical, scaffolding, excavation and housekeeping, with custom categories added as needed.

- ### Severity triage

Routine issues go straight to supervisors; critical ones wait for human verification.

- ### Human verification

A safety reviewer confirms critical findings, so escalations rest on a person’s judgment.

- ### Annotated reports

PDF reports with marked-up images, color-coded severity, OSHA references and a summary.

- ### Learning from corrections

Reviewer corrections help the workflow tell safe staging apart from an actual violation.

The reusable pattern

## Same shape, any process

SafetyScout shows the QRION inspect-triage-verify pattern: screen every item, route by severity, and require a person on high-stakes findings. It applies to quality inspection, facilities audits and insurance claim photos.
